Our Team

The Vehicle Maintenance Unit is responsible for:

  • Preventive maintenance and repairs for all university-owned cars, trucks, vans, tractors, carts, boats, and turf equipment
  • In-house welding and fabrication services
  • Purchasing guidance
  • Fleet management
  • Providing fuel

We are a dedicated group of master technicians that go over and above to provide the best service for our peers. Our technicians, as well as our office staff, have a sense of family when it comes to taking care of our vehicles and equipment. Some of our technicians have been with USF for many years working alongside our customers, we have the best interest of our teammates.

Lincey Araya
With more than 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, she has extensive training in vehicle repair, people management, best business practices, and budgeting and allocation.

Frank Bermudez
A customer-service-driven individual with many years of experience managing employees.

Kayla Rodriguez
Our dedicated Federal Work-Study student has been returning to the vehicle shop to work and learn life skills for three consecutive semesters.

A highly experienced technician with over 40 years as a certified vehicle mechanic.

Carlos Ramirez
Over 15 years of industry experience with a background in vehicle parts sales and automotive service.

Ronald Aul
Is ASE certified, with experience in higher education fleet services. 

Mason Steen
He is a skilled vehicle mechanic who joined the team in 2025 and has already made a significant impact, earning a promotion.
