Garrett Bridenbaugh

Garrett Bridenbaugh serves as both the Associate Director of Program Management and Program Director of the Academic Consortium at the 色色研究所鈥檚 Institute of Applied Engineering, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advancing impactful solutions for our nation鈥檚 defense challenges. His broad background in engineering, military leadership, and business management provides a strong foundation for his work in both roles.
 
Bridenbaugh began his career as a structural engineer at General Dynamics Electric Boat, contributing to the design of Columbia Class nuclear submarines. His early work at Electric Boat gave him firsthand experience with complex engineering projects and the importance of precision and collaboration. Following this role, he served as an officer in the U.S. Army鈥檚 101st Airborne Division, where his grit and determination earned him both Ranger and Sapper tabs. His time in the Army instilled in him a commitment to teamwork and resilience, skills he brings to his current work.
 
In his position as Associate Director of Program Management, Bridenbaugh leads a dedicated team in managing a diverse portfolio of defense and advanced technology projects. His focus is on fostering collaboration and ensuring that projects meet strategic defense goals. He engages closely with industry and academic partners, building relationships that drive innovation and create synergies across projects. Bridenbaugh鈥檚 leadership style centers on creating a supportive environment where his team can excel and bring forth creative solutions to complex challenges.
As Program Director of the Academic Consortium, Bridenbaugh has expanded partnerships with over 40 universities across the country, facilitating research collaborations that address real-world challenges faced by the nation鈥檚 warfighters. His approach emphasizes open communication and partnership, ensuring that consortium members feel engaged and valued. His efforts have strengthened the consortium鈥檚 role as a vital bridge between academia and defense, supporting the Institute鈥檚 mission to provide actionable insights and innovative solutions.
 
In addition to his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology and an Executive MBA from the 色色研究所, Bridenbaugh is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Business Analytics. His blend of technical and managerial expertise, along with his commitment to collaborative leadership, drives his dedication to advancing the mission of the Institute of Applied Engineering.
