Amber Brown, Ph.D.
Brown is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Early Childhood Education (ECE)
Program. She also serves as the Undergraduate Program and Clinical Experiences Coordinator
for ECE.
Before joining academia, She spent nearly a decade as an elementary teacher and mathematics
coach, supporting students and educators across grades PreK鈥�8. She earned her Ph.D.
in Curriculum and Instruction and M.A.T. in Elementary Education from the University
of South Florida, as well as a B.A. in Criminology from the University of Florida.
Brown鈥檚 professional and research interests focus on enhancing mathematics education and teacher preparation at the early childhood and elementary levels. She is dedicated to empowering both preservice and in-service teachers to translate their passion and understanding of mathematics and learning into meaningful, engaging experiences for their students.

Amber Brown, Ph.D. is an active member of the , where she serves on the program committee for the organization鈥檚 annual conference. In 2024, she was selected as a member of the AMTE STaR (Service, Teaching, and Research) Fellows Cohort鈥攁 prestigious program that supports early career faculty in advancing their professional expertise and national collaboration in mathematics education.
