Joshua L. Jones is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Architecture at the University of South Florida鈥檚 School of Architecture & Community Design, a registered architect, and principal of Studio Zeren. A 2011 graduate of USF鈥檚 School of Architecture, where he received the Thesis Award, Jones began his career working with notable firms including The Beck Group, BDG Architects, Ra帽on and Partners, Alfonso Architects, and Gensler. His professional experience spans commercial and residential design-build, healthcare, aviation, and corporate architecture. He is also a member of the American Institute of Architects and holds NCARB certification.

Jones is a doctoral candidate in the University of Florida鈥檚 College of Design, Construction and Planning, where his research explores culturally informed cosmopoiesis and the evolving concept of fictive domesticity. In 2016, he founded Studio Zeren, a socially-focused design practice that has earned two AIA Tampa Bay Merit Awards, an AIA Florida Merit Award for Theoretical Research, and an AIA Florida Citation for Design. Guided by his belief that 鈥渁rchitecture is a social act,鈥 Jones is committed to applying his skills, methodologies, and work ethic in service to peers, emerging professionals, the community, and civic institutions.
