Mark Abdollahian
Dr. Mark Abdollahian is a Professor of Practice (full rank) in the School of Information
and the Global and National Security Institute at 色色研究所. His
work sits at the intersection of political economy, computational social science,
and data-driven strategy, with a focus on modeling complex adaptive systems and applying
AI-enabled analytics to decision-making in competitive and uncertain environments.
He earned a Ph.D. in Political Economy and Mathematical Modeling and an M.A. in Foreign
& Defense Policy from Claremont Graduate University, and a B.A. in Political Science,
History, and French from Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Abdollahian鈥檚 scholarship advances methods for anticipating political, economic,
technological, and security dynamics using data, AI, agent-based simulation, and computational
analytics. He works with US and allied governments, the World Bank, UN, African Union
and global multinationals. His publications include books and peer-reviewed research
on global geoeconomics, great power competition and the future of political economy.
He has led and contributed to applied research supported by major sponsors. At USF,
he contributes to teaching and applied research in areas including AI and predictive
analytics, computational modeling and simulation, and strategy for complex decision
intelligence challenges.
Alongside his academic roles, Dr. Abdollahian has held senior leadership positions
creating next generation decision intelligence technologies, including CEO of Acertas
and Senturion Forecasting and as a cofounder of Stratum Intelligence. His professional
engagements span advisory and board service with extensive invited briefings and executive
education for governmental, defense, and international institutions on AI, horizon
scanning, strategic risk, and decision intelligence.
