Herd of Thunder
When the USF Herd of Thunder Marching Band takes the field, fans hear the power of the music. Among the 350 musicians are future computer engineers, AI professionals and cybersecurity leaders who prove that technical rigor and creative passion can march in step. Whether performing under stadium lights or debugging code, these students serve as examples of the way precision, creativity, academic rigor and artistry can march in step.

Persistence pays off: USF IT student earns Silicon Valley role
Carlos Trevisan has never been satisfied just knowing that something works. " I want to understand how it works,鈥 says the USF Information Technology major. 鈥淚鈥檝e been interested in computers since I was a kid, starting when I was 9 years old when I built my own server.鈥 This led him on a long journey, till he recently received a full-time software engineering position -- a full year before graduation. He will be a full-time ServiceNow employee in California starting in July 2026.
