On March 19, 2024, over 120 USF Computer Science and Engineering students had a chance to meet with tech industry leaders and recruiters from Raymond James to hear a presentation about working at Raymond James and get some tips about their resumes. The event was hosted by the Association for Computing Machinery Student Chapter (ACM) in the Engineering Buildings Hall of Flags. We organized this event to give our audience an opportunity to learn more about Raymond James and connect with the representatives from the company, said Fareeza Rahman, Outreach Chair of USFs ACM. One of our consistent goals at ACM has always been to help our audience develop in their careers, not only through our technical workshops, but also by providing them meaningful experiences.
It was great to see that type of presence at this point in the academic year and that was time well spent by our team. Sophia Hower, the Raymond James Technology Pipeline Program Process Coordinator, and the student organizations did a great job with the planning, said Evetta Davis-Hines, Manager of Technical Education at Raymond James & Associates, Inc. It is always a pleasure connecting with young minds that will help drive the present and future of technology to hear what is most important to them.
